Quick Reference Guide
For SkyScan digital 4-button models with SET, +, ALM, and SNZ buttons.
Most users only need to set the time zone.
If you are not in the Eastern time zone, set your correct time zone. The other functions are usually already programmed.
Time Zone
Press SET 1 time. Use + to select -5 EST, -6 CST, -7 MST, or -8 PST.
DST
Press SET 2 times. Set DST to ON if your area observes Daylight Saving Time.
Language
Press SET 3 times. Use + to select US or U5 for English. Skip this for model 88905.
Hour
Press SET 4 times. Use + to change the hour.
Minutes
Press SET 5 times. Use + to change the minutes.
Year
Press SET 6 times. Use + to change the 2-digit year.
Month
Press SET 7 times. Use + to change the month.
Day
Press SET 8 times. Use + to change the day.
Day of Week
Press SET 9 times. Use + to change the day of the week.
12 / 24 Hour Time
Press SET 10 times. Use + to choose 12-hour or 24-hour time.
Temperature
Press SET 11 times. Use + to choose Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Arizona note
If you live in Arizona, set your time zone to -7 MST and set DST to OFF.
Outdoor temperature not showing?
- Bring the transmitter inside.
- Remove batteries from both the clock and transmitter for 10 minutes.
- Put batteries into the transmitter first.
- Immediately put batteries into the clock.
- Place both units side by side, within about one foot, until the outdoor temperature appears.
- Once both readings appear, move the transmitter back outside.
Important facts
- The clock defaults to Eastern time.
- Allow up to 24 hours for the clock to receive the signal.
- Signal reception is usually strongest between midnight and 6 AM.
- Keep the clock away from TVs, microwaves, computers, refrigerators, and speakers.
- Keep the transmitter dry, shaded, and away from metal.
